Buis capitalized on a fine first set against Wimbledon semi-finalist Montjane to advance to the semi-final round from Pool B.

Montjane, who finished in 6th place last season, is going to need to find her rhythm and range again in her last group match on Friday against Japanese world number 2 Yui Kamiji. The South African has won only four matches against the Japanese who leads 19-4 in their head-to-head series.

In the quads event, Luca Sithole who fell to American world number 1 David Wagner on Wednesday in his opening match will go up against Andy Lapthorne from Britain on Friday to complete Pool A.
